Everyone has their own Alutagaaq recipe!

This is how I do it. Feel free to add your comments!

Cube caribou meat. Fry in large saucepan over medium high heat with half a chopped onion, two cloves chopped garlic, salt and pepper to taste, and a few splashes of worcestershire sauce. Fry till almost done. Add water till it covers most of meat. Bring to boil. In a bowl add about one cup of COLD water. Add sifted flour to water slowly, mixing and whipping well with a fork while you add it. The more flour you add the thicker your sauce will be. I add about 1/4 of a cup of flour to water. Once flour is incorporated into cold water, pour mixture slowly into saucepan. While you pour it, stir sauce. I pour about half of the flour mixture in, then stir for a while. This is so that I can judge wether or not I want to make it thicker. It will start thickening after a minute. Cook and stir continuously for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat when done. Serve over rice.
